Introducing Anne Franks (Secondary)
Students from Pioneer Heritage Middle Schoool listen to two podcasts from theHolocaust Museum on the iPod Touches and made connections between racism andattitudes today and during the Holocaust. With the digital picture frames, students viewed pictures of propaganda, concentration camps, and deportation of the Jews. Students wrote about how the pictures made them feel.
It was an open-ended assignment that allowed the students to pull in past knowledge and feelings and allowed them to connect with subject matter. The class came together at the end and students and teachers worked through the ideas that the students had from the station and then they jumped into Anne Frank.

Blabberize - Matter/Solid
A 5th grade student at Boal Elementary created a Blabberize explaining what is a solid.

What Am I?
2nd grade students at Isbell Elementary used Photo Booth to create a "What Am I?" video about their forest animal.

Inferencing: FlipSnack
Third grade students Ashley and Sem Elementary utilized the app, Strip Design (Note: If you do not have access to an idevice, you could always use Pages, Publisher, or Word to create the document/product.) to make inferences based on a picture. Students selected a picture and wrote a sentence on what they inferred happened before the picture was taken and what they inferred happened after the picture was taken.
