2nd grade students at Ashley Elementary researched a forest animal and 3rd grade students
researched one of the presidents of the USA . They drew a picture
of their topic and summarized their information to create Blabberize avatars.

A 2nd grade teacher at Robertson Elementary, recorded a student solving two
math problems using her video camera. The student became the teacher while
explaining each step of the process.

5th grade students at Ogle Elementary created a how to video on how to divide
using the Big Seven Method.

The Important Thing About Force and Gravity
3rd Grade Students at Allen Elementary illustrated the important things
about force or gravity on PaintGo, a fabulous Web 2.0 tool on the website,
ABCya. After they finished their pictures, they uploaded them into the program
Photostory and recorded their voices over each of their pictures.What a
fun way for students to summarize the unit on Force & Gravity!

Animoto: Word of the Day:
Fourth Grade students at Curtsinger Elementary created "Word of the Day"
Animotos. They defined the Word of the Day utilizing an online dictionary
and then generated a list of synonyms for the word. Additionally, they searched
for pictures which represented the word and included them into the Animoto.

Voki: Divisibility Rule
A 5th grade student at Boals Elementary explains the divisibility rule.

Vocabulary:
Student create Animotos to illustrate their understanding of a particular
vocabulary word.

Podcasting: Fraction Fun:
5th grade students at Allen Elementary demonstrated their learning fractions by
creating podcasts in GarageBand. First they created their slides in the Web 2.0
program called PaintGo and saved them as pictures. After they wrote their scripts,
they imported their pictures into GarageBand, recorded their voices, and added
background music.

Podcasting: Signers of the Declaration of Independence
Third grade students at Sem Elementary created an enhanced podcast
depicting a Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Students created a
drawing of their person, which was imported into GarageBand and then
recorded himself or herself as the historical figure.

Podcasting: Water Cycle:
5th grade students at Allen Elementary demonstrated their learning of the water
cycle by creating podcasts in GarageBand. First they created their slides in the
Web 2.0 program called PaintGo and saved them as pictures. After they wrote
their scripts, they imported their pictures into GarageBand, recorded their voices,
and added background music.

VoiceThread: Arctic Animals
Third grade students at Spears Elementary researched arctic animals and then
wrote a research paper (some were written in first person) and recorded it in
Voicethread. Some students drew a picture of the animal that was then
scanned and uploaded to Voicethread. Other students selected a picture
from the NY Public Library image database in Voicethread.

VoiceThread: Ocean Animals
1st Graders at Sparks Elementary researched and drew pictures of an oceananimal and recorded their information in Voicethread.VT_1st_ocean.png
Additionally, 1st Graders at Bledsoe used VoiceThread and the app,
Wordfoto ($1.99 and worth it!) which turned their Ocean animal pictures
into amazing typographic works of art.

4th grade students at Sem Elementary demonstrated their learning by creating
Animotos depicting their understanding of Synonyms, Antonyms and Homonyms

Voicethread: Farm Animals
The Kindergarten students at Anderson and Carroll used Voicethread to
showcase their knowledge on farm animals. The students researched farm
animals and then recorded their facts about the farm.

a picture of their topic and summarized their information to create Blabberize avatars.

PhotoBooth: Insects
After viewing the video, Icky, Icky Insect, Kindergarten students at Ashley
Elementary utilized the program, PhotoBooth and recorded themselves on
what they learned.

Animoto: Proper Nouns
Second grade students at Ashley Elementary demonstrated their learning by
created Animotos depicting their understanding of proper nouns.

Commercials:
Fifth grade students from Taylor Elementary, working in groups, wrote summaries
for a book commercial. Students filmed their commercials behind a green screen.
Once the filming was complete, the students used iMovie on the MacBooks to add
backgrounds, title slides, and credit slides to their book commercials.

Blabberize: Fishing for Answers
1st grade ESL students created a Blabber which showcased their knowledge
of ocean animals. Students mirrored the pattern in Bill Martin and Eric Carle's
book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

A 2nd grade student at Spears read a book on how communication has
changed over time. He created a timeline to summarize his findings.
